Overrated and over priced. The pizza is very large, but I didn't like how everything was mixed together in terms of toppings. I like things to be more uniform looking. The staff seemed friendly enough, although oddly there was someone who seemed to be a bike policeman working there folding boxes in the background when I went there to pickup the pizza. I've tried the strips, full pizza and calzones. All were a disappointment. Lasalle Bakery or Dave's Market both have great pizza strips if you are looking for that. For pizza I'd recommend Uncle Tony's instead. Being very fussy about tomato sauce I have to say I did not like the sauce. It had a strange spicy and sweet taste with an after taste that I did not particularly like. Uncle Tony's pizza sauce far surpasses the sauce at Catanzaro's. I might order from them, but only as a last resort.

sorry i wanted to like it but its the worse pizza i have ever had along with Uncle Tonys...the crust was about 3 inches thick and it was like chewing on a thick chewey pretzel. skimped on the toppings and all crust!

I honestly think that Cantanzaro's has the best pizza in Rhode Island. If you like thick, square pizza, with fresh authentic ingredients then this is the place for you! Their pizzas do take a least half an hour so plan ahead, but its well worth the wait. Definitely 5 stars!

I hate to do this since I've heard good things but I was thoroughly disappointed by Catanzaro's. My go to pizza place in the area was way behind on Sunday night due to the playoff game and Catanzaro's was a shorter wait and less expensive. I wish I had had the patience to wait... The pizza wasn't BAD but it wasn't good. I love Sicilian style pizza, Uncle Tony's and Caserta's are my go tos, but this pizza was lacking in toppings and half of the crust was burnt. Too much dough, too little sauce and cheese and I found myself having to sort through slices in order to find one that was close to being acceptable. I try not to eat pizza on a regular basis (although I could eat it for every meal) so when I do indulge I want for it to be worth it. This was no where close to being so. I will say that I enjoyed the toppings under the cheese. I think it would have been a huge success had their ratios been correct. Next time I'm sticking with my regular spots - tried and true.

Love their pizza here and Cranston. The only reason for the 4 stars here is sometimes they won't deliver to my buddies house who lives less than 2 miles away but it on the boarder of prov and north prov. Other than that, pizza is supremium and I choose Catanzaro's over casertas 9 out of 10 times, just because I need to switch it up and appreciate their pizza that much more. The pizza is more expensive but the size is also larger, if you want a cheap pie, go order dominos with garlic crust for 7.99 but if you want the bees knees, call these guys up. Awesome food, get it, now and save me a slice if you can! Thank me Later

I paid over $40 for what I can only describe as garlic bread. I got a margherita pizza with "extra" basil. There was one sliver of tomato and one ripped up piece of old dried out basil per piece of pizza. I usually would not write a bad review before I've tried a place more than once, but the last two times we called for pizza they were out of mozzarella and basil... How does a pizza place run out of mozzarella cheese!? Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else!

    (1)
  • Gene D.

Sicilian-style pan pizza. They sell both pre-made slices and made to order pies. I had a large pepperoni made to order. "Zesty," spicy tomato sauce (which I'm not a fan of in general) but it was fresh-tasting and made from crushed tomatoes. Decent flavor to the aged mozzarella and they put a lot of it on the pizza if you like that. Dough had good flavor but a little too heavy on the oil in the pan which distracted from the flavor. Large pizza was about $14 but it's a good value considering it's about an inch thick and very filling.

Had an Italian grinder at the NP location. It was really bad. I asked for lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and onions on the grinder. When I started to eat it the meat was gray and cut thick. The outer peel of the onion was in the grinder along with weird greens saturated with balsamic vinegar. The grinder was $8 +. Very disappointing.

Great grilled pizza, amazing crust. Regular pizza too doughy and thick for my taste, not enough sauce, etc.. . Sandwiches are just okay, definitely not the best.

BEWARE OF METAL IN CRUST AND NASTY OWNER! This is now the second time I have gotten pizza from here where I have seen metal shards in my crust. The first time I saw it from the N. Prov location, I swore I would NEVER get from them again. The second time, someone brought it to my house from the Cranston location, I would have never told them to get it from there. For years I had been ordering from here for parties and weekend dinners and the pizza is really great. One night I was throwing the leftovers from my kids plates in the garbage and saw some metal in the crust. When I checked all of the leftover pizza, it was everywhere. I think they might take the pizza out of the pans with a metal spatula or knife. When I called to let the owner know, he challenged me and didn't believe me at all. Asking if I had wrapped it in tin foil or heated it up when it got home. I told him I could bring it in and show him and he said "I absolutely want to see this" in a very rude tone. When I went into the N. Prov location, I quietly asked to speak with the owner so the other people in the restaurant would not hear me. When he came out he just said "Yeah, let me see" so I told him it would be better to go into the back and do this b/c of the other customers and he said no, that he wanted to see it right there... on the front counter. I whipped it open and he never said a thing, just stared at the leftover pizza, flipped it over, asked me again if I put it in tin foil and then telling the waitress to refund my money and then he LITERALLY walked away. I was in there with my 3 kids, all three of them had eaten the pizza. Not once did he apologize or do anything from stopping me from writing this. My decision to never order from them again was not because of the quality of the product but because of the nasty man who runs the operation. I don't even want to know how he treats his employees if this is what he does to loyal customers.

Are you kidding me!!?? This is the best pizza I have ever had! It is addictive, even when you have had enough you want more and more. We had pizza and a spinach calzone....WTF it was awesome!

  • Marlana H.

2 pizzas (a medium 4 topping) and a grilled=$40! Also a $2 charge for plates & utensils. 50 minute wait, and the only other customers were 2 guys who waited for a redo on their messed up order.

    (3)
  • Margaret G.

Pizza is good. Nothing to write home about in my opinion. The portions are huge, we ordered a medium and it was giant. The end pieces are the best part because the cheese gets really crispy. I think I'd like it better if the toppings were on top of the cheese, I like my pepperoni crispy.

  • Patty H.

Best Sicilian pizza around! The steak &cheese(albeit in the form of a calzone) is also right up there with anything youll find off south street in Philly

Is a pizza restaurant really that good if they skimp so much on sauce, I'm pretty much eating bread and cheese. Last time we order from there for a party.

This pizza is one of the best I've had in a long time. The quality and the freshness of the toppings are the best part of the experience. It's worth the extra money for the peppers, sausage, etc. and they are very liberal with the toppings. Crust is amazing. The spinach pie, calzones, etc. looked amazing and were immense! I am going to try those next. A large pizza will run you $18+ but the large is HUGE, feeding at least four people. Your pizza box actually sags in the middle because it is so heavy. They have a cute dining area with TV and nice decor. Parking Lot. I would of given 5 stars but about 1/2 of my large pizza was burnt underneath, I believe it was because they were so busy. I ended up scraping the top off and it was good just wished the bottom was equally good. Even though, it was burnt... I am still going back because it was that good and amazing. Next time I will make sure and ask for them to take it out a little on the earlier side if they are busy. IT IS WORTH COMING HERE.

Tried this for the first time tonight...we got a medium 3 veggie topping pizza for a little over $20. Granted the "medium" is equal to most places large size, still expensive for a pizza...sauce was mediocre, toppings plentiful (which they should be for $2 per topping), ample cheese. The problem was the crust. I am a fan of all thicknesses...it had potential, but this was burned...mostly black on the bottom and dried out. Almost tasted stale. It was so hard to chew, and actually scraped the inside of my mouth. I ended up only eating the top. My husband called to complain. They were a bit hesitant to give us a credit for next time, but matter-of-factly told him that they always bake their pizza "well-done", my husband told them this was burned. Buyer beware... This "well-done" method is not advertised or disclosed anywhere. Also, it took about 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready for pick-up. Probably due to the time it takes to burn all the pizzas.

  • Jason A.

Enough salt to last you a week but the pizza (especially the dough) is amazing. Buffalo chicken is usually the topping I get. Service is somewhat slow when you order and the pizza is somewhat on the pricey side but delicious.

    (4)
  • Amanda B.

Over priced, long wait and crap quality. We had it delivered and the pizza was burnt, black on the bottom and even the toppings were burnt and blackened. Will never get it again.

    (1)
  • Laura T.

Yum yum yum! Another great pizza option in North Providence. The pizzas are HUGE... the first time I went to pick up my pizza I was pretty surprised that it was 20 dollars... until I saw the size of it! The box took up my entire stove top! The pizza has a delicious thick crust and they're super generous with the toppings. I love to get mushrooms here because they are huge portabello mushrooms... is there anything better? Waits get really long, especially on the weekend, so call early!

Super salty.Prices are steep. Owners are corrupt politicians. Skip it and go to Twins Pizza down the street.

Whoever rated this place 5 stars is either on crack, or works there; I truly hope it is the latter. Pizza was awful. Perhaps I am a bit spoiled having being raised in NY/Fairfield County, but I can't imagine how anyone in their right mind would think this was good pizza. Yes, it was a huge pizza, but the crust was not good and it was basically focaccia bread with a little bit of cheese on it. When you bit into it, it tasted like pure bread. It is a free world, but hopefully you will take my advice and avoid this place.

  • Mike B.

I've ate here before and it was pretty good. This time was the last, very disappointed. Not only did it take an hour for a pick up order, but the outside of the box was covered in pizza sauce. I didn't want to put it in my car. You figure paying $20 for a med pizza you would at least get it in a clean box. The pizza was over cooked and a huge disappointment. In RI you can get away with charging a premium for anything, but it better be worth it. This place is not worth it. Your better off going to Twin's any day of the week. Way better pizza, much quicker and less expensive. Also, if the cooks and cashier spent more time actually doing their job and cooking rather than being on their phones texting all night, I'm sure the food would be out quicker and much better quality. I will not be back to Catanzaro's.

I love the Pizza here. Great taste and always good. Downside is the wait time they will normally tell you a half hour which is expected for the way they cook their pizza but be prepared to wait about an hour. That's how long it took last time and it wasn't even busy. This will be their downfall. Sanitary conditions? I arrived a half hour after placing my order on the phone. While I sat and waited another half hour for my pizza to be done I watched the girl at the front that answers the phone and cashes out prepare a salad at the prep station directly behind her. I then witnessed the delivery driver come in and place his money, bills and coins on the cutting board at that prep station so the girl at the front could give him change. They sorted money back and forth on this prep station without cleaning after, at least while I sat there. Very dissatisfied after my last visit.

So I, like so many others are looking for the best pizza in town. I see that Catanzaro's is rated well for the area. So I order up a delivery: 1 Large cheese and Pepperoni and a Buffalo chicken calzone. The girl on the phone treats me like they are super busy to be expected(if they were any good). Decent delivery time. Delivery guy is very nice and friendly . This Pizza is Huge which they did not tell me on the phone. The taste is ok at best. The sauce was the only good point of this experience with a sweet and spicy tase to it. The crust is thick like Elios pizza. The Buffalo Chicken calzone is the worst I have ever seen. Completely burnt and dried out. Two Thumbs down will not be returning.

Unreal rectangular pizza that will have you asking yourself why you ever wasted time on those other pizza joints. The rectangular pie is a nice change from the more prominent circle and truly explodes with flavor.

4 stars (when they get it right). 2 Stars (when they don't) A very tasty pizza ... sometimes. Occasionally, they do half ass it. Pros: The sauce is sweet, and not too acidic (like some places). The crust is thick, and crispy. The cheese is just right. Lots of decent quality toppings too. Cons: Inconsistent quality. Cha-ching. More expensive than the average pizza. Also, expect to wait. It is not unusual for to call in your order, and expect a 45 to 60 minute wait for pick up (if they are busy).

Over priced, long wait and crap quality. We had it delivered and the pizza was burnt, black on the bottom and even the toppings were burnt and blackened. Will never get it again.

Best pizza I have ever had. Fresh Ingredients. Nice fresh cut pepperoni. A really large pizza cost $20 and will be devoured. It is so good.
